*NEW | Faraya Chalet | Crackenback

Had a great stay.. the Chalet was 10/10 in all aspects given we experienced very cool weather up until the last day and night before we left .. but just 1 comment. My comment comes on the back of owning a 2 story lakeside apartment at Crackenback for 15 years - Unit 14. I would recommend installing another air con unit in the bedroom at FARAYA. Hot air rises.. so the rev cycle air con downstairs does nothing to cool upstairs, so upstairs gets hot... beautiful room, great views , great bed etc.. but that doesn't off set a hot room. When the wind blows hard ( as it does - often cyclonic ! as it was Monday night) the windows need to be closed when you are sleeping because the blinds flap and the cords on the blinds slap against the walls. So for most of the year guests can be comfortable anywhere in the chalet, but as soon as it warms up , especially if its hot outside, then the upstairs bedroom is not comfortable temperature wise. An additional investment in air con upstairs in conjunction with actively promoting the upstairs and down stairs cooling especially over the warmer / hotter summer months will grow the owners revenue and will attract clients that understand how warm it can be even in the mountains at night in a 2 story chalet. We love the Chalet and will use it again ( we have used many chalets via your booking site) - but we wouldn't rent it over summer because it will be very warm upstairs at night ..... and a good sleep is a priority for us! Thanks again... 10/10 accommodation.. for 9 months of the year ... 6/10 for the remaining hotter months if the weather is hot down there! Aircon upstairs in our unit was the priority next .. but then we sold ...
